Special Announcement!

October 2nd, 2013
By

Sorry gangy, haven't had time for much of anything else these days, so our "Where In Hawaii" game will miss another week.

This is partly to do with the coming of baby WWE #2! LOL! (See Special Announcement #1). Yay!

Wife was a true champ (again) and hatched another beautiful baby girl.

Wow, I thought raising one child was hard enough! If what we're going through now is any indication, our sleep patterns will be all kinds of off. Parents out there, please tell us it gets better! :)

Baby WWE #2
Baby WWE #2

You guys have any tips you can share on raising two children... like at the same time? :P

  1. Jacob:

Congrats to you and the whole family, Ed!!

Sorry, can't offer up any advice, but I feel like when the girls start getting to dating age you might want to invest in a shovel and a shotgun to put on display when you meet the boyfriends. :P

Hope you guys can manage to get some decent sleep!

  2. M:

    Howzit Ed!
    Congrats!!!!

  3. Harry:

... I'm assuming you're going to keep trying ... for an Ed Jr. ... gotta go read dem books about what to try to increases chances of a boy ... play more fantasy football, drink more beer, get more fat and lazy ... haha ... oh wait, den your wifey might leave ... and you'll have zero chance of a boy ...

    ... Have a Good One Everyone!!! ...

  6. Ynaku:

Congratulations to you, mommy and the little squirt. Here is Squirt2.

Advice? hmmm??? Does it get any easier????? HMMMMMM?????? I raised 2 kids and now helping raise 2 grandkids. It's a blessing. They'll be some rough times but mostly joy.

Just gotta find a balance somewhere. Share da love. Try not to favor one over the other. That's going be the hard part.

Just love em to death. :D

  7. snow:

What a sweetie pie! Congratulations to you and your family!

Advice? Just give 'em lots of love and remember that they are each their own person, They might both be girls but they might not like the same things or have the same interests. On the other hand, they might like everything the same! Let them each have their own special time.

And that shotgun/shovel idea sound pretty good too! ;)

  8. MakiSushi:

Congratulations to the Sugimoto clan! Cutie pie numba 2, life is good!

You gotta make VHO7V for babies!

  9. Kage:

    Congratulations.

No advice from me. I only have nieces and nephews. They always go home with their parents after I am tired of them.
    :)

  10. Coconut Willy:

Congrats! Say goodbye to your time and body tone.

  11. De:

Kawai (hope I spelled that correctly). It does get better. I have two kids and remember it was tough when they are young. Time flies by quickly so enjoy every moment.

By the way, don't know if you mentioned it before but I saw your VHO7V shirts at Aloha Stadium-UH Game. I bet you know it but I thought I would let everyone else know.

    Congrats again!

  12. Seawalker:

Atta boy, Edward. Da wife hatch 'em, but you gotta guard the roost even harder now. Advice? None except that when the second one gets off the diaper, you'll probably be on it. Congratulations!

  13. carokun:

    omeditou! :)

  14. Erika Engle:

Ed, congrats to you and your bride AND the new arrival's big sister! The new one is SOOOO kawaii!

It DOES get better, but you've not even been through the hard part yet.

I've had two in diapers, TWICE! My first two children were born 20 mos apart, so I had a toddler and a newborn. My second two were twins, born 11 minutes apart.

I survived it with help from my forever-love. You and your wife can as well. Don't forget to ask Aunty Minna to babysit, to make sure you and your wife get "couple-time" (or have date nights), which will help remind you why you got together in the first place.

It TRULY helps keep you sane.

    Best wishes!

  15. soogs:

congratulations ed and family! i gave some of my advice in your earlier column. my two little ones are getting bigger now and i know you'll get through the early years without a hitch. you trained already. thank goodness for my in-laws whose help me and my wife could not do without in taking care of them. grandparents are the bess-est! enjoy your bebe's company while you can. while they do get more fun when they are in the elementary school age, i do not look forward to when they get into their teens and the angsty years. just like with puppies, they are a lot cuter and fun when they are younger.

Bahahaha! Oh yeah! Nah, we actually tried following that Chinese calendar thing, but da buggah no work. Das ok. I'm happy with two girls cause they'll be close. As far as trying for #3 we'll see. The Wife says da shop is closed already. Haha! Plus, I'm worried about those college tuitions! Yikes!

Yeah, I'm making sure I do that for sure. Big Squirt seems like she's in need of more attention now so I've been cruising with her a lot more since mom is busy attending to Little Squirt.

Interesting... never thought about that. Just figured they would like and share everything. Good tip!

    * 8.MakiSushi:

Haha, I've been asked that before too. So hard to stay on top of everything. Plus they outgrow um so fast! LOL!

Awesome advice Erika! Mahalo! Yeah, one of the things we miss is dining out and travel. We're just counting down the days when we can start that up again!

EXACTLY. I fear the day when they go through that phase of hating me. I think I'll be so sad. :P
