As you can tell by the above, I'm a bit excited. This may actually be the first time that a WIH post landed on Halloween. You guys got big plans?

No Halloween parties for me these days. Getting old already. LOL! For the first time in my life, I will actually be going Trick or Treating around the neighborhood... as a parent! Crazy right? A bunch of us neighborhood friends (all new parents) will be taking the keiki around the 'hood for some treats. Mellow kine, but should be fun seeing the expression on the kids' faces.

Speaking of kid expressions, here an old school pic I dug up. The sister will probably not appreciate this, but here you go anyway. I figgah it's a good opportunity for captioning. Have fun!

VH07V SPOTTED!

This week's "Spotted" shot for VH07V features a video from Canadian Youtuber Jason Johnston, who has a unique (and inspiring) story himself. Jay and his wife visited Hawaii years ago and completely fell in love with the islands. At the age of 35, after hitting rock bottom (in debt, overweight, injured & unemployed), he embarked on a 5 year plan of attempting to change his life and move to Hawaii for a period of 1 year (watch his intro video). His plan, appropriately named Hawaii Four-0 (for when he turns 40 years old), has gained a steady following on Youtube and is a great inspiration for many of us to aspire to.

Jay first reached out to me via the VH07V Facebook page inquiring about ordering some stuff. I guess, because of his love for Hawaii, it just spoke to him. Since then, we've been messaging each other back and forth, even planning on a night with some beers once he gets here. He's a really nice guy and you can't help but root for him and his goal. The video below is his latest, where he talks about the gear I sent him and about being featured on fellow social medialite "@AlohaBruce" Fisher's web site: Hawaii-Aloha.com.

Weekly VH07V Updates!

* My friend's mini craft fair at Koko Head Elementary last Sunday actually went a lot better than I had anticipated. I only brought one item per color/option and within the first hour was out of many things. Sorry to those who wanted things I was missing. I'll catch ya later.

* Still undecided on whether or not I should get a booth at the Islandwide Crafts & Food Expo taking place on the Black Friday weekend from Nov 23-25. I might want to concentrate more on the Christmas rush and finally setting up that online shopping cart.

* Speaking of which, I've been able to make a little progress on setting up the online shopping site for VH07V. Will hopefully have more to report soon!
