First and foremost, mahalo to each and every one of you who commented, emailed and called to see if my folks (currently traveling in Japan) are OK. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. I'm happy to report that they were finally able to get through and contact my sister and I. They definitely felt the quake in Tokyo, but are otherwise doing good and will hopefully be home soon. Those in the Sendai and surrounding areas weren't so lucky though. Please read this document from the American Red Cross - Hawaii Chapter (PDF) to see how you can help!
