Gotta go sleep early tonight (last night), but here's a quick wrap-up of tonight's (last night's) NEW episode of Hawaii Five-0: "Ke Kinohi" (The Beginning):
"When McGarrett's sister is kidnapped and his father's Champion box stolen from his apartment, Steve and Five-0 discover new clues in his mother's murder, including possible ties to the Japanese Yakuza on the next episode of Hawaii Five-0."
Talking points for us:
- I wish my bed head (hair) looked like Alex O'Loughlin's in the morning! Ahahaha!
- Ninja say what!? Ninjas in Hawaii? Really? And samurai swords? Oh geez.
- And I thought ninjas didn't make noise. Those were some heavy footed ninjas! LOL!
- Did I say ninja enough or wot?
- Since when was Kaimuki along the water? And with Chinaman's Hat in the background?
- When they chased and stopped the car from the helicopter, they just started shooting based on a broken tail light. Thank goodness that was the right car!
- Guess Steve McGarrett's sister didn't get the family genes. I keeeed!
- The Five-0's CPU is sick! Love, love looovvvvve how you can just drop a device on the touch screen and extract files from there! Probably how computers in the future will be!
- I didn't know the Bosozoku ("baby yakuza") has their meetings at Pipeline Cafe!
- Funny line from Danno: "Walk up steps like a human."
- I think I could've kept it real and played one of the baby yakuza no?
- Is that stick figure code fo' real?
- Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa (@CHTagawa) is one mean villain actor!
- Nice to see the Governor drinking beer from the Five-0's stash, all on company time! LOL!
- Anyone else catch the baby yakuza's car's license plate: RU2 BE6? Call me a detective already!
Think that stands for anything? "Are You Two Be Sex?" LOL! - Where is the Kaimuki Country Club???
- Didn't Koji look like a bigger version of the guy from Karate Kid II (Yuji Okumoto aka Chozen)!?
- Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos) sighting (again)!
- McGarrett needs to work on his shaka.

Didn't get to watch last night's episode, but I do remember her from previous ones. You know how they say boys take after their mothers and girls take after their fathers? Maybe McGarrett's father wasn't as handsome as his mother was beautiful!

.. hey Ed ... wat da heck!!! ... you taking notes while you watching da show o wat??? ... maybee you gotta make it Pop Quiz Tuesday ... and make a test on oscure details of the show ... because I might have noticed some of that stuff you listed ... but I wouldn't have remembered half of it ... guess I was too busy focusing on the scenes with Kono!!! ... not enough Grace Park last night ... grrrrr!!! ...
... I know there's criticism of show's storylines ... with crime overly exaggerated ... rescues coming too easily and conveniently ... with island areas being renamed ... directions twisted around ...
... but hey ... I like the show as it is ... highly entertaining ... hints of mystery and drama ... fantasic scenic shots ... action and futuristic technology ...
... and no, I don't mind ... that it's called Kaimuki County Club ... that Pipeline Cafe is a yakuza hang out ... that braddah Augie T is a helicopter pilot ... not to mention the oddities in all the other shows ...
... btw, when was the last time McGarrett used the Book 'Em Danno line??? ...

I think I'll dub this episode of Hawaii 5-0 as the youtube episode. I mean within the first 10 minutes, you had a DOUBLE RAINBOW (see: Double Rainbow Song on Youtube), Ninjas (see: How to be a Ninja on Youtube), McG getting Tased (see: Don't Tase Me Bro on Youtube) and you even had kidnappers who forgot to TSA McG's sister for her cell phone (see: Please Don't Touch My Junk on Youtube) thus, in 10 minutes you had ALL these Youtube References... That is all!

Yeah, getting better this show . . . the whole Wo Fat thread can affect each episode you ask me. Last night's show was simply the best of 'em so far.
Yeah, I kept cracking up at Danno's antics. "I have the # of a therapist . . . walk up steps." McGarrett: "Dan" or "Daniel"? Danno: "yes, Steven." Hahhaha, struck me as funny. I dunno, Ed, I think McGarret's sister DOES have genes, doing her own investigations, taking pics of all the contents of the McGarret's father's CHAMP---- box, heh, and let's not forget her knocking the teeth out of that one bōsōzoku (and while a Grease is SO impressed that the show got this expression, uh, aren't bōsōzoku rides a BIT more outrageous than what you can get off the showroom from your local Asian motorcycle sellers? Well, at least from what a Grease has seen IN Nippon, heh).
And hear, hear, again, Ed . . . is THAT why Pipeline's seemingly closed during the day? Dakara bōsōzoku hang out over there. Funny how while their rides weren't as outrageous as should be for them, their dress and hair styles WERE nutty. I mean . . . I dunno if they'd go through those lengths in their Hawaii stints and jaunts. The only confirmed yakuza sighting that I gandered here on Oahu (and I hope I don't have to report this to the State Department alla' sudden; fellas, this was, like pre-09/11 anyways
), guy had a wrinkled aloha shirt, expensive-looking slacks and belt, BIG sunglasses, and geta. And those slacks were either high-watered or rolled up. He was laughing it up, too, with his fellas dressed about the same. The loud aloha shirts on those Japanese underworlders are for REAL seemingly.
And we just gotta say it . . . the topic of HPD corruption is just getting to be more and rash in this show. I mean, that brother-of-Hiroshi officer Koji corrupt for, what, years and years on end (and who, uh, killeded the buggah at end? Gotta be the Wo to the Fat, no? So funny, too, Dacascos, telling McGarrett "yes, sir."). I mean, clearly, there are GOOD HPDers in this show ('specially those who arrive for back up for the Hawaii 5-0 crew). I think the HPD in this reality can at least gain a more palatable light on them by finally forgiving Chinn Ho. Let's hope it happens.
I usually can tell a show's good from the first few shows. I'm actually glad this one is taking time to develop.

Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't McGarrett's sister kick out the passenger rear lens? Then in the helicopter scene, the driver tail light was hanging.....
Now which way is Waikiki from Blow hole? My compass going all cockoo.

eh mr. ed, big hawaii 5-0 fan? I only watch a bit of the first show and all of last night...only because my co-worker was suppose to in as a extra but nevah happen. Huuuu, he was so disappointed and I stayed up past my bedtime fo nuthing...not a complete waste as this episode was somewhat interesting. Yeah that huge table computer touchscreen was awesome. I'm a graphics person and it reminded me of my days working on a light and drafting table. Maybe that touchscreen table will be a reality soon.
