Where In Hawaii is Edward Sugimoto? - October 28, 2009
By World Wide Ed
Bruddah MakiSushi captured his first WIH victory last week when he correctly guessed Yohei Sushi Restaurant. Congrats Maks!
This week, we've got a special treat for ya! Since WWE is featured on the front page of today's Advertiser (print version), we're gonna try something a lil' different to welcome in the new meat, er blood, er readers.
Long time poster and WWE `ohana member hemajang submitted an image for consideration for a future WIH. I thought that there was no better way to mix the "old" (no offense hemmaz) with the new than to have hemajang's photo welcome them on in. Plus, with Halloween coming up in just 3 days, his Pig's Feet dish fit the bill.
So hurr we gooo! For the oldies (but goodies
), you know what to do. For the newbies, check out the photo below and try to guess "Where In Hawaii" it is. Post your guess(es) in the comment area below. Good luck chy'all!

phew...survived da first round, no knock out yet, was afraid da first poster might guess it correctly. WWE'ers are a sharp bunch. However, didn't think Mr. Ed would tell what the dish was, so that is a beeeg clue.
My co-worker and I go eat out once a week, usually at hole-in-da-walls, nothing fancy, our version of cheap eats and we no shame, try anything.

Whirl Seriez = Kharmic Convergence
Da Pills will beat Der Yanks for several important reasons, including..
Da No-Feah Factah.. (Pillies not afraid to lose, Yankers are)..
Da Fat-Guy Factah.. Pillies get Spam fan and Scott Eyre, the closest t'ing to a fat guy in the WS.. fat guys know they get one chance wit' da pretty girl and one chance in da WS, and they don't blow it.. (so to speak)..
Da Kim Chee Factah - Chan Ho Park (aka CHP) will avenge B.H. Kim's WS meltdown and save Korean peopo an' Da Pillies from mo' WS hum-ili-ation..
Da Outah Islan' Factah - Shane Boy vs. C.C. Sabathia Paht II..
try check out Paht I in case you missed it..
http://vodpod.com/watch/1055327-video-victorino-hits-grand-slam-off-sabathia-nlds-game-2-10208
Da Samaurai vs. Da Computah Factah -
Yanker Coach/Former Catchah Girardi overmanages based on computer readouts and ADD style.. bound to make some big mistakes dat way..
Pills Coach Cholly goes on gut feel and emotion which always trumps computah, plus speaks Nihongo from playeen' days in Japan.. can not speak language wit'out some samurai spirit rubbeen' off..
West Virginny Yojimbo vs. ADD Eye-talian wit' computah.. (try take yo pick)..
The Whirl Seriez is all about Kharma vs. Kharma, the exciting paht bein' dat nobody knows eggz-ackally wuts goin' happen fo' suah..
so let's line it up, t'row it hahd, swing fo' da fences, an try see how fah it goes..
HOOOOOOO-EEEEEEEEEEE..
does it get any bettah den dis? hmmmmmmm, i no t'ink so.. Dis Is It..
oh, one mo' t'ing, eidah B-Rad or P-Dro goin stick one in A-Rod's ear..

In which case, I wouldn't know cuz i no like curry. But I'll eat balut! LOL....Looks like all the Filipino restaurants have been named already so I really have NO guess!

October 28th, 2009 at 9:18 am
Pig Feet reminds about the Pig Feet soup that I ate in Okinawa two years at a hole in a wall place. We had a difficult time trying to place our order but it was worth the effort. It was the best pig feet soup ever!
October 28th, 2009 at 9:21 am

sorry guys...didn't think would take this long. Restaurant not that well known but we go there maybe once a month, food is good, I like their sari sari, pinakbet and pancit. Last week was the first time we ordered their pig's feet adobo, was pretty good, meat was tender, no need knife and didn't have a strong vinigah taste. Next time I going try their lechon w/tomatos and onions...I hear real ono.
yeah, pig's feet not so scary. I think the chicken feet dim sum from chinatown look scarier...taste surprisingly good though.

@leerz - actually, our position is classified as behavior specialist (for what it's worth) ... we're with HGEA. Just know that within the DOE, we all handcuffed by how the HSTA goes ... we have little say.
October 28th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
@hemajang - aack, chicken feet? I can say I tried it but don't need to have it again. I agree, it was tasty, but I couldn't get used to the chewy and crunchy texture.
October 28th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
Wow! My union talk comment stay in moderation.
@hemaz - I like eat at this place. You talking about Filipino food making me miss home. Hilo, no mo any Pilifino restaurants.

October 29th, 2009 at 5:29 am
@kuya.d, Jack in the Box? hmmm, cannot picture that, I think so, but yeah restaurant is located ground floor in a office building. Get one chinese restaurant on right end and big engineering/planning company Belt Collins is upstairs.
October 29th, 2009 at 6:26 am
yum yum, I had Chinese style pigs feet last night. Visited some friends who get together at a pier in Kona and they grind em. They even invite the boat Captains and crew on those fishing and tour boats. Anyway, that Pigs Feet was so ono.
