grew up in lahaina so of course i've experienced it... we had to close shop early (shop was in lahaina center) in case the crooks decided it was the best time to steal/rob from da store... haha!! halloween is not da same in singapore.

Halloween this year could be a problem. There is a UH football game that day. Normally we go to friends house to watch but lots of my friends have young kids who want to go trick-o-treating? I think UH is on the road so hopefully the game is televised in the morning. Anyone know what time the game is?

I notice that as I get older the years are going by faster. It's mid October already and it seems like we just went Christmas shopping not long ago.
As for Halloween, we go to our church where they have entertainment, games, food and candy for the kids.

That email is pretty funny. I usually stay at home to pass out candies. But, last year, we had about 300 kids and ran out of candy by around 7:30. So, I'm thinking I may go out to dinner this year??? It might be cheaper than buying candy ... I know, I know, BAH, humbug!
@che - you're okay. The UH game is in the morning on Sat. It's 1:05 pacific time, is that 10:05 our time?

'Morning, Ed! I love it! Laughed out loud at my desk! I'm still trying to figure out what I'll be doing for Halloween this year. Went Downtown last year, and that was pretty fun. If I do, gotta figure out a good costume!
Also looking forward to Windows 7. Already got my copy pre-ordered!

M, time goes by fast. I recall that it seemed like forever to finish highschool and college. One school year seemed like an eternity. Now one year doesn't seem long at all.

usually we go around the city looking at spooky things...SOME OLD HOUSE IS REALLY SPOOKY LOOKING...one hotel we stop by to visit the haunted room..everytime we visit this hotel it rains..or our van door wont open...kind of spooky..especially when we waited by the elevator at this hotel door a botton fell from nowhere...goose bumps I tell you.

I usually dress up for Halloween, but I've lost my inspiration to make a new costume the last couple of years. I have one that scares the poop out of the trick or treaters (I think in a couple cases, LITERALLY
eeew!).
Hey, if you going come to my house to beg for candy, maybe I want to get something out of it too!
Nah, I only target the older kids that look like they can handle. Funny watching them jump, then act like they wasn't scared.
