By World Wide Ed
First you guys submitted your questions for BJ Penn...
Then we collected um for Shane Victorino...
Now, (I think) we got part-time Kauai native and talented singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat ("Bubbly," "Realize," "Magic," Fallin' for You") lined up for an upcoming interview...
So... like before, gah-on and post any questions you may have for the beautiful songbird in the comment area below and I'll try to get them answered for ya!

* Did you pick up her new CD Breakthrough yet (or download it on iTunes)?
* What is your favorite song from that CD? The CoCo CD?
* What is your favorite Colbie Caillat song overall?
* Who (from Hawaii) would you like to see me interview next?
* I'm probably gonna run into bruddah Justin Young too while I'm there. Got any messages for him?

had no idea she's a "part-time kauai native?"
Q: If she wasn't singing, what would she be doing (career wise)?
September 14th, 2009 at 3:21 am
Q: Who would she like to collaborate with next?
September 14th, 2009 at 5:20 am
what is her favorite song that she wrote and why

Good morning everyone! Congrats, Ed, on landing the interview! You going be able for concentrate during the interview, or what?! Nah, j/k.
Here's my questions:
- does she enjoy collaborating with Jason Mraz?
- is she able to get back to Kauai very often? What are some of the foods she has to have when she's back home?

Colbie Caillat? who dat? Out of my element here with current singers but she does look like a cross between Jennifer Aniston and Cat Toth. Part-time Kauai native? Ask her to explain dat...grew up in Kauai for part of the time?
September 14th, 2009 at 6:21 am
... hmmm ... I enjoy Colbie Caillat music ... but had no idea it was her ... definitely my type of music ... and part-time Kaui native ... another thing I did not realize ...
... here's my questions ...
... Where did she grow up, and who were her musical influences? ...
... Her music has a laid-back feel like music from Hawaii. Does she know of or ever heard the local Hawaii music? Any influences from Hawaii? ...
... Local musician, Jack Johnson's musical style seems to be in sync with her style. Any thoughts on a collaboration with him? ...

Questions for Colbie:
1. What advice would she give to island keiki who want to be musicians?
2. What's she doing when she's not writing, recording or touring?
3. Who's the most surprising person she's met in her travels?
4. How has becoming famous changed her life - the good and the bad?
5. What are her plans for the future?
Questions for Justin:
1. Regarding his music career, what has he learned by being on the mainland that he couldn't have learned in the islands?
2. Who has influenced his music the most in recent years?
3. What does he miss the most about Hawaii?
4. What was the best venue he's performed at?
5. What's the best thing about being a performer?

aww... lucky!
love colbie caillat!
my favorite song is "magic" & the duet she did w/ jason mraz "lucky". i got her new album & her songs are just as good as the first cd. love her latest single - "falling for you"...
i'm curious on how much she visits HI & if she'll ever do a concert here? what other musician would she love to work with?
September 14th, 2009 at 1:24 pm
eh, ed... congrats on scoring an interview with colbie callet! i really like "bubbly" - it's so light - and "lucky."
my question for her would be: how does (spending time in) hawaii influence her music?
September 14th, 2009 at 1:33 pm
I don't know who she is! What can I ask? Ask her to pose for a photo for one of your Where in the World Wednesdays....
HIJACK....can I take this opportunity to make you feel old? UH IT announces last week that they will be retiring UHUNIX2 soon. LOL...RIP UNIX2!
September 14th, 2009 at 2:35 pm
Wow, Colbie Caillat, first off, you're beautiful... I love your voice... secondly, where do you find most of the inspiration for your songs? Now on to Ed's questions...
Haven't yet DL'ed all of Breakthrough.
Fallin' For You is probably my favorite from Breakthrough, and Bubbly from Coco.
Overall I like Fallin' For You best... because it's about that feeling you get when you know that you're with the right person, no matter what others think or say... But you question whether that person really is the right one... and try to play it cool by "hidin' what I'm feelin'...

@Ed - Thanks! Should I also send over the bebs question too? Nah, I'll refrain this one time.
September 14th, 2009 at 5:02 pm
Oooh, that would be of interest to me too! Actually, she came a few times, but not really for an official concert. Hopefully, she'll sell out the Blaisdell (or Aloha Stadium?>
) one day...
Watching/Reading some of her other interviews, it seems to have a pretty good influence. Would be interested to see what she has to say to us about that one Informer!
WHA!!!??? UHUNIX2!!!??? The memories! LOL!
Love the insight, Chosen One. Props.
And yeah, mahaloz for being nice this time sky! LOL!

What "dream venue" does she want to perform at?
My fave song has to be "Tell Him" from the Summer Sessions CD.
Tell her to keep putting out the sweeeeet music.
September 15th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
does she have any aspirations to transition to different media types or does she strictly see herself as a musician?
September 17th, 2009 at 2:59 am
