Don't you want that 10 minutes of your life I wasted back? Sorry! š Shoots! Have a good weekend y'all! š

i don't know what i was thinking yesterday. š
i almost picked mark brunell, cause i didn't know who to pick. š
August 28th, 2009 at 7:30 am
Dammit! Why didn't you beeBz!? š
August 28th, 2009 at 8:06 am
@bB - I know the feeling. I don't know who to pick already. I decided to try a different strategy this year - build my starting lineup first and then go back for bench players. That probably will backfire on me but, oh well, chance um. š
August 28th, 2009 at 8:36 am
Please pencil in Chad Ochocinco as my K please. hahaha!
j/k š
Yeah! Pick Brunell! Comeback player of the year! š

i'll give you guys the most popular line that my other league uses come draft time ... "study long, study wrong" ... cracks me up every time. just completed my draft last night (sorry guys, that's why i couldn't make my two picks) and it's going to be an interesting season. a couple of even teams, a couple of teams with stacked qb's or rb's (unfortunately, that's me). in that league we start 2 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 flex (r/w/t), 1 kicker, 1 d. i had the unfortunate luck of drafting last again. it's going to be a long, interesting season.
and i didn't realize we had that many rounds left in this league.
August 28th, 2009 at 12:42 pm
That strategy's good because you get the best quality for your team at your position. Some people play defensively and draft people they don't need just so the next guy won't get a stacked team. Not quite sure where I stand from year to year. Haha!
LOLOL! When I heard that news, I was like WTH!?
I don't know if I'm much of a fan of the two QB leagues. Too unrealistic. In the coming years, I think WRs will be drafted early, with all the RBBC going on... *pout* š
August 28th, 2009 at 5:00 pm
almost finished with the draft. š
August 28th, 2009 at 5:00 pm
i forgot the we had flex players in this draft. š
oh well, just gotta wait and see.
August 28th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
Eh, Schaub is my starter...the guy is underrated, I'm telling you!
August 28th, 2009 at 6:03 pm
stewart in the last round was a steal!
damn, i missed that one.
schaub is good, but ryan is better. š
August 28th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
That's what they said last year Sticky! š Nah, he might do a-ight!
I know! I was looking at him for like 5 rounds, but had to fill my positions instead. He could turn out to be a gem if something happens to DeAngelo! :\
August 29th, 2009 at 6:46 am
@che - nice one with Stewart, hopefully he comes up big after his current injury.
@Ed - high risk, high reward ... Marshall needs to grow up.
@soogs - if I was picking in your position, I'd have pretty much the same picks.
August 29th, 2009 at 6:48 am
@soogs - aww, I meant .... same picks as you, I like the guys you got.
And what the heck with Giselle's Husband? Why he gotta take that hit from Haynesworth? Killing me!
August 29th, 2009 at 7:37 am
i think everyone did good overall.
for some reason i forgot about the flex positions so i started to draft defense and a kicker. damn it. oh well.
i was ready to pick a player, then someone like kuya or needahobby or cdub's, etc. take that player. š
nobody took mark brunell? if brees gets hurt, he the guy. š
August 29th, 2009 at 7:38 am
@kuya - that washington pick up might turn out to be a big time sleeper.
August 29th, 2009 at 8:31 am
With only ten league owners, everyone's teams seem pretty stacked.
@kuya - I hope Brady is okay?
@bB - I think your picks are fine, no? Cause you still gotta start a kicker and defense every week. My question is ... I noticed a lot of owners didn't draft backups for their TE/K/DEF position. Is everyone just planning to do transactions for those positions during the bye weeks? That's probably a pretty good idea ... I drafted backups, but, if any of my floater players get hurt (or turn out to be busts) I'm toast! š
August 29th, 2009 at 8:42 am
yeah, i guess i'm never satisfied with my fantasy picks.
i didn't draft a back up tight end, because i think that position is worthless unless you get the top 4 or 5. i would rather use a pick for a wr or rb that is going to produce and hopefully make up for the loss of points of the te.
as for a back up k, i'll probably pick up one later after the season starts.
i think it's easier to get a k or te during the season.
i want to wait and see how the season goes before i start making some moves.
i took a big hit with injuries with fantasy baseball teams. i ended up making around 15 transactions per team. š
August 29th, 2009 at 9:09 am
@bB - fantasy baseball, huh? Whoa, that's a lot of games. I don't think I know enough baseball players to make it past the first round of the draft.
August 31st, 2009 at 6:39 am
Don't I know it. Hopefully he does too pretty soon! š
Haha, you get him eh? He'll be ok... hopefully... š
Hahaha! You really trying fo sell dat pick eh beeBz? I might do it after all this convincing. With questionable Cutler and gimpy Palmer, you nevah know! š
Leon or the team? I like Leon better. š
Yeah, the waiver wire will be our friend during the course of the season Hobbz. I actually kinda like our small roster limit. There are still a few gems out there in WW land. š
Yeah, that's one of footballs down sides beeBz. So many uncontrollable variables like injuries... Hopefully, we'll all have fun battlin' on the WW! š
Ahahaha! I used to, but yeah, not anymore these days. Fantasy baseball get too many stats and players to keep up on for too many games. My head goin explode! š
