Fave Five Friday - Hawaii's Worst Parking Lots
By World Wide Ed
This one's been on my "to do" list for quite some time, but I just never got a chance to get around to it. A recent visit to Mililani Shopping Center refreshed my memory.
We've all experienced it. Bad parking lots. Whether it be too few parking stalls (for the demand) or just plain poor architecture/engineering, some of Hawaii's parking structures are pretty horrible and it's time to call them out on it. Not necessarily to make them do anything about it, but more just to have a friendly monku session amongst family.
Y'all ready? Let's do this!
- Pearl Kai - I have just 4 words: REE-DON-KU-LOUS!
- Hyatt Waikiki - this was suggested by a co-worker. Talk about narrow and dangerous. And on top of that parking is supah rare. Then again, it is Waikiki, so...
- Discovery Bay Center - recent trips to Bombay and Buffalo Wild Wings made me learn more about why I'm not very fond of this structure. The stalls are insanely packed (tight) together and at the weirdest angles. Not to mention, they share the lot with some rent a car place. Just weird.
- Mililani Shopping Center/Costco - there is like NEVER any parking here, which I guess is a good thing because bidness is going well. But still... I sometimes avoid going here because I know what the parking sitch is gonna be like. :\
- Anywhere with dumb drivers- drivers who don't know how to stay in their lines! Ho da irraz!
As I was putting this list together, I was like WTH!? These can't be the worst. I know I'm missing some. Ah, I'm sure your lists will refresh my memory. Holla atcho boy!
Happy VHO7V Friday and have an awesome weekend k? Shoots!

Ah - Maui never really had that issue that I can recall but that was like 10 years ago that I lived there
However, recent trip to Halekulani Hotel in Waiks was HORRIBLE!!! I don't know what street it was that we were on to try to get on to Halakulani but we were stuck for a good 30 minutes (when the hotel is right in front of us!) because they allowed delivery trucks to unload on the left side which is right after an intersection so cars were trying to squeeze their way out while we were trying to go straight and there was only 1 lane left for everyone to drive on. It was ridiculous! They need to move the unloading zone somewhere else!!!

i think 90% of oahu parking lots are not so good, or it seems like it when i go there.
1 that i know that really sucks around dinner time is pearl kai. really hard to get parking and small stalls.
yn, i think maui has ok parking, except for those smaller business places and some or the strip malls. but, i think that the county building in wailuku basically sucks because the public parking lot in the front is small and hard to find parking in the surrounding area.
August 28th, 2009 at 5:52 am
The parking structure at Ward Center sucks. Those stalls are cramped and tiny...
August 28th, 2009 at 6:13 am
Most of the chinatown parking lots are the pits. We go eat pho maybe once a month and usually park at the parking structure on River and Nimitz. The space is tiny and we usually get out the car before parking, otherwise hard to get out and lanes are also small and have to wait if another car is coming around the turn...and sometimes get shishi smells by the stairs which is not so good before having lunch.
I read that the Mililani Shopping Center is for sale and owner claimed that they had put in over a million dollars worth of improvements...what improvements? Maybe he meant repairs cuz I never noticed any improvements. And yes the parking there is bad, not enough and small spaces. It gets really bad after work and around dinner time. I find that you get better luck parking across on the Jack in the Box/First Hawaiian Bank side.
August 28th, 2009 at 6:31 am
... oh boy - gripe session ... yippee ... live in town so don't know too much about other areas...
Ala Moana Shopping Center ... esp. the area in front of Foodland ... why so many taxi stalls here??? ... dammit ... why the one-way lanes??? ... dammit ...
Kamehameha Shopping Center (Kalihi) ... bad overall design period ... ridiculous lane flow patterns ... perpendicular lanes everywhere ... are you kidding me??? ... crazy multi-lane intersection in front of Longs ... dammit ...
McCully Shopping Center ... esp. the narrow parking row in the middle section ... good one ... put some lines in the middle that cars can enter the parking from both sides ... and narrow spaces to top it off ... dammit ...
Ward Warehouse (parking structure) ... ramp to enter the structure ... if you're not careful as you leave ... if you go too fast, almost guaranteed to scrape the front bottom of you car ... ouch ... dammit ...
Blaisdell Center/Aloha Stadium ... esp. at big events ... these are big venues ... so lots of peoples/cars ... but never enough parking ... they never planned on this much car traffic come through??? really??? ... dammit ...
... have a nice day ... dammit ...
August 28th, 2009 at 6:37 am
W & M Burgers in Kaimuki. Parking lot too small for the business they do. Great food though.
August 28th, 2009 at 6:44 am
In Hilo - bayfront downtown. The stalls used to be angled for ease to pull in and out. But they decided they could fit more if they changed the stalls to straight stalls. Fail, in my opinion.
In HNL - Pearlridge parking structure above Ross'. The ramps with the parking stalls on them slows down the flow.
- Prince Kuhio hotel with that steep turn as you enter and exit. I had a couple friends scrape bumper in that structure.
- Queen's POB II with tight turns and odd shaped parking stalls on the side facing the street.
- Pan Am building lot has only limited parking and the traffic flow can be confusing.
August 28th, 2009 at 6:44 am
Good Morning Ed!
The parking lot at Market City Foodland. It sucks, so small and you always get stuck looking for parking.
August 28th, 2009 at 6:46 am
@rbj - I agree with you on the Kam shopping center lot ... see, dats what happens when you just decide to plop a parking structure into your lot.
August 28th, 2009 at 6:47 am
I gotta add in Sam's Club in Pearl City. Those stalls are tight and so are the lanes.
August 28th, 2009 at 6:58 am
MAGIC ISLAND and the rest of Ala Moana Beach Park on the weekends because of all the early "government subsidized" picnics!
August 28th, 2009 at 7:00 am
WalMart 1st floor (in town) because everyone is too high maka maka to go up on the 2nd floor (that's where I go).
Don Quixote because all the Japaneee tourists have enough money to get rental cars!
Market City Foodland. One tita girl wen actually give me da finger (peace sign minus the pointer finger) one time. But was okay because she stay ugly and that's punishment enuff for her.
August 28th, 2009 at 7:29 am
century center dwntwn, fail!
August 28th, 2009 at 7:55 am
I agree with Takeshi on the Ward Center parking garage. The ramps seem narrow so if you have a car with a bad turning radius, you're immediately in the other person's lane.
@bB - IMHO, on Maui, the parking lot at Maui Marketplace is horrible. There's only one thoroughfare to get around the lot. And, I used to see cars driving through the stalls to get from one end of the lot to the other. Now, they have those parking bumber strips to prevent cars from doing that.
August 28th, 2009 at 7:57 am
I actually lost my parking pass one time and I only realized it when I was trying to get out of the structure. D'oh! Apologies to the long line behind me that day. *blush* So Wine, maybe that wasn't trucks unloading but just some imbecile like me ahead of you?
Oh-Emm-Geee! Das da one!!! I kept trying to remember which one I was thinking of that made me want to write this. I actually changed my top 5 to include Pearl Kai as #1! Majahloz beeBz!
True dat Takeshikun! True dat!
I've always wondered why people have the desire to stink up stairwells with their yellow goodness hemmaz. YUCK!
Is dat da one with Pasghetti Factory beej? If you get one SUV, you gotta be careful on the roof part right there too. Super low with all kine scratches on it! Good call with the Kamehameha Shopping Center, McCully Shopping Center and Blaisdell Center!
Oooh, good call Pu! And if you get stuck, you have the hardest time turning around trying to get out yeah!
Is dat da one with Wilson's? I don't remember that. Maybe I shoulda paid more attention to the stalls. :\
Ohhhh, another good one Ms! That one's rough too!
I don't go there often dewz, but the times that I did, I remember having to park faaaaar away!
"government subsidized" LOL! Speaking of parks, Kakaako is kinda crazy sometimes, esp during holidays.
Why? What are you doing driving in from Sheridan anyway frankie? *nudge* *grin*
I'm thankful I don't work in downtown. I heard you have to pay hundreds a month for parking too!? Yikes!
Oooh, I gotta pay more attention to this one too next time I go... Mahalos for the head's up Hobbz!
August 28th, 2009 at 8:01 am
The Kamehameha SC PL is kinda dangerous. Those crosswalks just as you enter, tight lanes all around, people willing to hold up traffice just so they can get a space that is 50 feet closer to the door.....
August 28th, 2009 at 8:02 am
Hahaha! I ride a motorcycle. Parking really isn't a problem for me because I just stick the bike where it fits.
August 28th, 2009 at 8:33 am
argh i hate mililani shopping center parking!! impossible to find parking there.
@kuya.d: when i read this blog the first place i thought of was Queen's POB II. it's so cramped in there plus there's a lot of older drivers. i once saw an old man reverse into a parked car and leave.
August 28th, 2009 at 8:49 am
the parking lot for the kapahulu starbucks and jamba juice. not only are the stalls tight and the pavement has pot holes all over, it disrupts the traffic on date and kapahulu in the afternoon because of people trying to get in and out of the parking lot.
manoa marketplace isn't too bad if you don't mind parking closer to mcdonald's/chevron or the last row of parking across of the longs by the stream. it's the internal battle with yourself of either wanting to find a stall or wanting to find a close stall to your destination. i choose just finding a stall.
surprised no one said the new parking structure at ala moana for nordstrom. i don't know what test cars they used to figure out how wide to make the ramps, but it's awfully hard to fit two cars going up and down at the same time. not to mention the stalls on the ramps are pretty tight too.
i don't go there anymore, but the parking lot for aiea bowl has got to be the worst reconstruction idea for a parking lot. they reconfigured the stalls by the entrance so you have to double park to fit two cars. it doesn't seem like they can fit more cars than before. i think that's just poor judgment to make stalls like that.
and the last one i can think of ... the sports authority parking lot at ward. stalls are good size, but when it's crowded, it sucks a big one. i guess same could be said for the parking lot fronting the ward office depot and nordstrom rack.
August 28th, 2009 at 8:52 am
I agree on the Ward Center parking.
Also Pioneer Plaza downtown has ridiculously narrow parking stalls.
August 28th, 2009 at 8:59 am
Kapiolani Hospital
Kapiolani Hospital
Kapiolani Hospital
Kapiolani Hospital
and
Kapiolani Hospital
August 28th, 2009 at 9:04 am
The parking lot at HMC Karaoke in front of Pearl Ridge. Sucky suck suck suck suck!...if you can even get parking in there! If you late den you gotta go park in da hood!
Kapiolani Hospital...how the heck do they expect pregnant women to get in and out of their cars in those stalls? And...the turns really suck! It's so not friendly to the the population (pregnant women) they serve.
Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center...they make like everyone drive a mini car.
On a good note...Costco Waipio has great parking stalls. Nice and wide!
oh...I just went to Nordstrom, for the first time, this weekend. Ho man, it's too funny when you gotta station a crossing guard at the crosswalk between that new wing and the old wing!
August 28th, 2009 at 9:05 am
Scott...um, do you work at Kapiolani Hospital? LOL...
I writing mine when you submitted your comment so I didn't even see it until just now.
August 28th, 2009 at 9:10 am
YES TIME TO GET YOURSELF DRIVER TO JUST DROP YOU OFF HUH!
August 28th, 2009 at 9:11 am
did someoen say hospital.....I JUST GOT BACK from the tit twister flaten pancake torture machine!
August 28th, 2009 at 9:13 am
reason why I HAVE A HUSBAND TO JUST DROP ME OFF then he parks .....he worries about parking...when is is around me I GET LUCKY I ALWAYS GET A SPOT....anyplace crowded I till get a special spot.!!!
August 28th, 2009 at 9:13 am
you can put me in any place crowded for some reason things so smoothly for me....!
August 28th, 2009 at 9:15 am
I be sitting in crowded parking lot then for some reason somebody gets out then I get the spot....!
August 28th, 2009 at 9:31 am
- star moili'ili
- kaheka don quijote (the main lot)
- ward center/warehouse
- PC coffee bean/beard papa's
- market city shopping center (the "top" part)
August 28th, 2009 at 9:51 am
I agree with most of these, esp Pearl Kai, Don Quijote Kaheka, HMC Karaoke, Ward and Pioneer Plaza. Costco Iwilei is bad too. I usually go there to pick stuff up for work and no matter what time of day, the lot is full and people are circling like vultures! Don't people have jobs or school? The hot dogs cannot be that right?
August 28th, 2009 at 9:52 am
Oops, I meant that GOOD right?
August 28th, 2009 at 10:06 am
I have a large truck and almost everywhere I go it's hard to park. Most parking lots is built for compact cars.
August 28th, 2009 at 10:15 am
@rosie: tit twister...i like tat one. flat pancakes...LMAO!!!
August 28th, 2009 at 10:36 am
- HMC (St. Francis Hospital) has very cramped parking spaces.
- Surprised I haven't seen Kapiolani 24-hour/Hawaiian Brian's structure. The lines are painted all kapakahi and it can cause you to misjudge surrounding barriers, based on personal experience (close calls) and all the sked marks on the concrete pillars.
August 28th, 2009 at 10:39 am
i agree with scott and tita!! the parking at Kapiolani Hosp is the pits!!! not only are the stalls tiny, the fact that there's only parking (maybe) on the upper deck (because people don't know how to park on the lower levels), but the fact that while coming down the structure, you have to go 0.5mph so that your car doesn't get assaulted under your front bumper!! i cringe everytime i hear that sound! and what about the blaisdell when there's an event happening?? Horrahs!!!
Now i've been to the mall of america, and haven't experienced any issues with parking there....maybe construction engineers can take a cue from this blog entry?
August 28th, 2009 at 10:41 am
oh, and it helps if folks were to park within the designated lines!!!! wth!
August 28th, 2009 at 10:45 am
@tita leerz: you should have seen my goofy brother..I was already nervous waiting for Mammography ... so last night I went to visit my brother niece had her birthday ..I just give money..anyway he said to me do you want a freezer?..I said no! I said I am going to have Mammography..I have no clue what the machine would look like...STUPID me I didn't look at the net.....so my brother slams the freezer door HERE you put your breast here slam slam..if the nurse comes and step on the machine you better run....HIS HUMOR....my nurse said to take pain medication..I figure it can be that painful as breastfeeding...so breat is tiny ..she kind of laugh.
omg so the next day I SAW THE MACHINE..twsit twsit twist....I hold my breath NOT THAT PAINFUL I CAN TAKE THAT MY BREAST IS FLAT SO NOTHING TO PRESS omg funny..imagine if you have huge fake breast..POP..! YES THE TIT TWISTER...my eyes is going to pop!
August 28th, 2009 at 10:46 am
I AM LUCKY BLESSED WITH PANCAKE !
August 28th, 2009 at 10:48 am
pali momi hospital - stalls ok but traffic pattern is weird.
royal hawn shopping center - i agree with tita but the ride going out of that parking lot is a blast! i go fast on purpose to get my wifey sick - evil!
the old costco in salt lake - that had to be the worst planning job ever. could hardly get out of the car w/o banging doors with the car next to you and then when you come back with your items (which are always in huuuge boxes) you just scratch your head to figgah out how to get them in! the target that took over the space is much better!
August 28th, 2009 at 10:51 am
so what next I WAITED..then she said I will have to retake the test...SO I GO AGAIN twist twsit twice!!! my brother told me the night before they will do ultrasound if they have hard time looking or something>>SO I GOT TORTURED TIT TWIETER ...ultrasound I go...I WAS GOING TO SAY WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT why didn't I get the ultrasound first...imagine that..funny huh..
August 28th, 2009 at 10:52 am
ANYWAY.....when it comes to parking lot I never had to be wedge or had any problems.
August 28th, 2009 at 11:01 am
@moch - pc beard papas was originally Ben Ono's Texaco ... dat was my high school work place. Regular, plus, or super?
August 28th, 2009 at 12:08 pm
@kuya.d - yes, i remember!! i grew up in PC, my parents still live there and i go every sunday to see the fams
and it seems like i go to the bean every sunday too!!
August 28th, 2009 at 12:33 pm
too funny rosette.
August 28th, 2009 at 12:42 pm
- mililani shopping center... no parking ever! seriously! yes that was a good one.
- 24 fitness on kapiolani... the parking stalls on the floors are so tight & the columns are everywhere!
- hyatt parking... agree on this one too. i try to avoid this one. it scares me.
- and anywhere with tight straight stalls.
i hate parking in general. i just like driving. LOL!
have a great weekend everyone!
August 28th, 2009 at 12:49 pm
And where do you walk as a pedestrian yeah Dman?
Show off!
Nah, I just j EMMbot!
I know yeah pinky!?
Oh yeah!!!! That's another one pash! HORRIBLE! Finding a stall is like gold! LOL!
Is that the one with stalls on the edges too Bills?
What about Kapiolani Hospital Scotty2Hotty?
Oh yeah! LOLOL! More importantly, I wanna know what kine songs tita leerz sings!
Oh go on! No seriously... go on!
I hearrrd dat moch!
LOLOLOL! That's EXACTLY what I ask myself (about people) when it's croded during the day. I'm like, "don't you guys have a jobs!?" And then I think to myself. Wait a minute, I'm here... Hehe!
Time fo trade um in for one Mini maybe Ms?
LOL! Was even worse before time too yeah obbie?
Ho, you get shmall kine ground effects or what T-dawg? Haha, nah! I know what you mean!
One of my pet peeves fo sho! The worst is when one guy screws everybody else up down the line, then when you get back to your car, all the other cars left and you're the only one crooked. They think you're the imbecile. D'oh! Hehe!
Bwahahahahaha! Love the honesty Rosey!
Good call on dis one big bro!
Because of pancakes?
Ahahaha! Same here McCat! Esp cause once you leave your car, your car is in the hands of the crazies out there. Yikes!
August 28th, 2009 at 1:15 pm
hmmm... gotta agree with everything posted so far (well, 'cept for the place i've never been to... heh.)!
rayboyjr. - omg! when they completed the parking structure at kamehameha shopping center, i complained to my friend about how bad it was and she agreed. she had already been complaining about it and had mentioned it to her husband's friend... who just happened to be the one who worked on the project (she didn't know that)! oops...
anyway, when i go there, i'm always saying stuff like "HELLO, people... why do you ALL have to back out of your stalls at the same time???" and the pedestrians gotta walk inches behind your car while you're still backing out, so you have to STOP for them! so annoying! but, it's dangerous - i don't know how many near misses I've seen! it's so cramped and badly designed...
August 28th, 2009 at 1:22 pm
scott - hmm... musta made a lot of trips to kapiolani recently, huh?
hee hee... but, i hear you on the sucky parking lot! first time i went there, i was late for my appointment because i was circling the parking lot for so long! even my blood pressure was high when i got to the doc - and they said that happens often (they took it again later and it was fine)!
August 28th, 2009 at 1:26 pm
i'll add one -
ala moana center - upper level parking, by pearl. OMG! could stalls be any smaller? i know they were probably trying to maximize the number of stalls there but the narrow straight stalls are crazy! even an inch makes a difference up there!
August 28th, 2009 at 1:48 pm
Wow, lots of people with unloved parking! I'd have to say...
1. 24hr Fitness Kapiolan/Hawaiian Brians - That parking structure has a pillar every 2 stalls, and no one ever parks in one stall!
2. McCully Shopping Center (out front and underground) - There 's just never parking there, and when there is, someone else is parked over the line!
3. Anywhere in Waikiki - I guess when space is a commodity, parking is the first thing to suck!
4. Chinese Cultural Plaza - The parking itself there isn't the problem. It's getting in and out of that structure that sucks!
5. Kapiolani Park (When there's an event) - It's usually faster to find parking in Kapahulu and walk down!
You watching the fight tomorrow, Ed?
August 28th, 2009 at 2:09 pm
Yo Peeps!
Mililani Shopping Center, on da Jack's side: the parking lot is getting resurfaced. Hopefully, when they re-stripe the stalls, the stall widths don't shrink!
August 28th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
Yes, Pioneer Plaza has parking around the edges. It's that building with Plaza Club in it.
August 28th, 2009 at 2:30 pm
@ tita leerz: i hate that jack in the box! whenever i go to the drive thru they always make me park on the side and wait for my order. and then to top it off the order isn't even right!
August 28th, 2009 at 2:44 pm
Any Don Quiote on any Tuesday.
August 28th, 2009 at 3:20 pm
yes you think after you get your breast flatten they invent something much better!! yes all the money goes to make the best parking lot while my brest is pancake!
August 28th, 2009 at 3:21 pm
I WONDER WHO INVENTED THAT PANCAKE BREAST MACHINE...do they do that to guy...SLAM!!!
August 28th, 2009 at 3:23 pm
see that YES SURE I NEVER HAVE TO BE WEDGE THE BEST PANCAKE PARKING LOT!
August 28th, 2009 at 3:26 pm
can you imagine you know if you got breast cancer then TWIST TWIST TWIST wouldn't it POP...!
August 28th, 2009 at 3:42 pm
@tita leerz oh I was very agile while I was pregnant ..still jumping around liek a fool...so I guess what you need to do when you go the the parking lot at the hospital if you are pregnant is CRAWL at the back of the .vehicle.omg ..one lady I remember she said one time she park and two car wedges her from both side so she cannot get in..she is big pregnant..that is why you need a VAN you crawl at the back...omg...I amek sure I always have company when I got to hospital they can crawl for me.....
August 28th, 2009 at 3:43 pm
yes in Philippines my cousin told they hire drivers...then they just call them if they want to be picked up...so they don't have to hassle for parking.
August 28th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
WELL THANK GOD MY OLDEST CAN DRIVE ....no hassle for me anymore.
August 28th, 2009 at 4:21 pm
Was lucky today, like tita lourdes said, Mililani Shopping Center parking lot getting resurfaced but had one stall open by Jack's, in da shade even. At first I was driving around the side where they not resurfacing and saw 2 stalls open but this lady got there first and would you believe she parked so crooked I couldn't park in the other one so good thing had that one by Jack's. Before my appointment there with my optometrist I stopped by Waipio Costco and like mentioned before the parking there is very good-unless you there on a busy Saturday, there are enough stalls and are extra wide.
August 28th, 2009 at 4:56 pm
@NeedaHobby - that's right i just noticed that last week. also that shopping area only has one stoplight and it always backs up.
i went to maui walmart last week and that area is kiind of screwed up. i had to park by the garden shop side and that side had choke people too. the traffic is all backed up on the roads because of walmart and home depot.
August 28th, 2009 at 5:44 pm
Oh gosh, what a hoot! From parking lots to mammograms...talk about a need-to-know-basis...but "funny, OMG!" What next...from favorite kind of shaved ice to...uh, gynecological exam? Can't wait.
August 28th, 2009 at 9:53 pm
The parking lot at Jamba Kapahulu was repaved Aug. 24 - 26....ENJOY!
August 29th, 2009 at 12:43 am
I know pedestrians get da right of way, but I hate those who take it to the extreme, as if they own the road, walking though a busy road...
Woah, that's funny that they knew about it Informer. Craziness!
Doesn't help that all the peeps leaving that area are probably a bit tipsy eh?
Ya-ya-ya-yaknowit! 2nd row ringside baby! You knockers?
How does erryone know the scoops with MSC? Leerz, dats not even yo hood an den!
Ahhh. Yes, then I must concur Bills! Sucky Suckerton!
I say just go to Mililani Restaurant pinky. Little more expensive but guaranz two meals in one!
Word up 123987!
Hooo! If they did that to guys down below, somebody would pay dearly! *grin*
Yeah, the stalls are good but sometimes you gotta park in boony land yeah hemmaz?
You guys both from Maui or somethin', or was just partyin' up dea?
Shave Ice to Gynecological exam? Hmmm... Good suggestion Tahoe-gal!
BTW, we may be going up near Reno/Tahoe area. Any suggestions?
Kewl! Thanks for the tip Sistah Sherri!
August 29th, 2009 at 6:24 am
@Ed - I imagine Lourdes busting out "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" or "This Used to Be My Playground", some "True Blue" and "One Time for the Hootchie Mama" .... Haha! You know I keeding leerz!
August 29th, 2009 at 6:26 am
@Ed - oh yeah, the Wilson's shave ice side is not bad, I was thinking about the opposite side where get Dragon Mama and Big Island Surf.
August 29th, 2009 at 6:34 am
I got a couple more Hilo ones
McDonald's Downtown Hilo - just because the drive-thrus get slammed espesh at lunch. It gets so bad that it overflows onto the street and you cannot get into the parking lot.
KTA Puainako - during weekends, the Jack's side with that weird intersection gets backed up onto the main drag. Then the entrance by pizza hut gets all backed up too with erryone crossing to get in the store. It's just that traffic pattern in there.
August 29th, 2009 at 6:36 am
What about Waikele Outlet, the upper side. Over there gets nuts on the weekends!
August 29th, 2009 at 7:42 am
@ed - i think there is at least 3 of us from maui.
you going visit us with the $25 fares going on. maybe the we would have a chance with the where is ed.
August 29th, 2009 at 8:12 am
@Ed -
@bB - yup, yup, totally agree with you. Traffic really gets backed up when drivers try to turn left out of the Wal-mart parking lot ... or try to turn left out of the Maui Marketplace parking lot onto Dairy Road (near Borders or McDonalds). Never understand why people don't use the traffic light???
August 29th, 2009 at 2:51 pm
...just checked and saw your response/question: actually, we don't go down the mountain into Reno much because Carson is closer. Reno is to fly in and out of, service the car, some of the bigger malls and the occasional overnight at my fave hotel-casino, the Peppermill. There is a lot to do and see whether you are on the Calif. side or Nevada side of the Lake so whateva' floats yer' boat!
August 31st, 2009 at 6:30 am
"You ain't nuthing but a hootchie mama! One bad one bad hootchie mama!" Ahahaha!
Ahhh yes. That side is nuts! We just walked over from the Wilson's side last time. I broke my slipper though and had to buy a new one! D'ohs!
Nevah seen um like dat (we nevah pass by during lunch), but I can imagine it getting like dat fo sho!
Oh yeah! Even the lower side... by Jurison's! NUTS!
Eh, I had a few from Maui no? At least one I remember (Tasaka's).
