Where In Hawaii is Edward Sugimoto? - May 27, 2009
By World Wide Ed
I gots good news and bad news for you this week... which one you like first?
K, da good news: no cropping action in dis week's photo. You get to see the photo, the whole photo, and nothing but the photo.
Da bad news: I think it could actually be a tough one this time around.
First off though, let's congratumalate Syxx who, with the win last week, makes it two in a row now. And, as skycastles mentioned, is in the hunt for the coveted, never been accomplished, 3-in-a-row holy grail. LOL! Can it be done or will Syxx join the ranks of Paco and snow as the only back-to-back winnahz!? Don't touch that dial. Stay tuned to find out!
Hurr we goooo!

Hmmm, first thought was Diamond Head Road, then Waimea but you saying Central Oahu/westside so I going guess the road going into Pearl City Industrial Park.
May 27th, 2009 at 5:31 am
That almost looks like the place in Nanakuli where the bushes always catch on fire.
May 27th, 2009 at 5:32 am
Waikele Self Storage - the road leading to it (that old military bunker place).
May 27th, 2009 at 5:33 am
Hmmm, maybe Syxx got it? But initially I thought diamond head like Hemaz.
May 27th, 2009 at 5:46 am
Mmm...Looking again, maybe not. It's a bit too green to be brushfire central. A second guess would be the road to Mililani Cemetery.
May 27th, 2009 at 5:48 am
kuya, I think you may have gotten it.
May 27th, 2009 at 5:59 am
yup..typical you got lost so you want us to find you!
May 27th, 2009 at 6:00 am
you are somewhere looking for a pole to pee!
May 27th, 2009 at 6:12 am
KOKO HEAD!
May 27th, 2009 at 6:38 am
Ed, how many guesses do I get?
I'll guess Tantalus the lower part.
May 27th, 2009 at 6:53 am
I don't know where WWE was, but those vehicles aren't parked properly. Their tires should be turned into the curb to prevent runaways.
If you park in San Francisco without 'curbing your tires,' you could get a ticket.
May 27th, 2009 at 7:03 am
Good Morning Ed!
I think kuya might have nailed it.
May 27th, 2009 at 7:07 am
Hi Ed,
How about the road leading up to Waiau?
Have a wonderful "Where in Hawaii is Edward Sugimoto" Day!
May 27th, 2009 at 7:11 am
I'm pretty sure that thing on the left is a hill..
May 27th, 2009 at 7:33 am
Call the city...those weeds need some whacking!
May 27th, 2009 at 7:35 am
I'll say Kipapa gulch. Or leading down into Launani Valley from the tech park.
May 27th, 2009 at 7:45 am
i seem to be saying this every week: "i have NO idea!"
good luck everyone...
May 27th, 2009 at 7:48 am
Just wanted to say Good Morning! As usual, I don't know where you are?!
May 27th, 2009 at 8:00 am
on your way to waiawa correctional facility? what you in for?
May 27th, 2009 at 8:02 am
I got it you are waiting at the pole for a pole dancer to tell you which direction your house is!
May 27th, 2009 at 8:07 am
Kalanianaole Hwy. near the entrance to Hanauma Bay
May 27th, 2009 at 8:13 am
Oooh Paco, nice call!
May 27th, 2009 at 8:17 am
I wouldn't park there, weeds and haole koa leaving junk all over the car, and what about rocks/boulders coming down the hill (see that's how on Oahu, squeeze development into every nook and cranny).
May 27th, 2009 at 8:33 am
I'm glad I didn't stay up late for this one! I have no idea! I'm just going to take a wild guess and say somewhere in Wahiawa or Mililani?
May 27th, 2009 at 8:54 am
@rosette: LMAO!!!
I think Kuya or Syxx might have gotten it but I'll just thrown in a guess to up the comment count. Palisades?
May 27th, 2009 at 8:55 am
K ... no can be da Wes'siiide cause stay too green ...
let's see ... no sidewalks ... sloped road ... going up one hill or mountainside ... tall pole ... not street light ... what kine pole is that??? Don't see any power lines ...
CLUELESS YET AGAIN...
May 27th, 2009 at 9:12 am
Snake Hill in Mililani?
May 27th, 2009 at 11:01 am
Hmmm... yet again... I DUNNOOO!! hehe....
May 27th, 2009 at 11:46 am
My guess is that Its in Waiawa Industrial Park.
The road too nice for Kipapa Gulch. No can be Kam Hwy because Ed would not have been able to get out and take the picture.
May 27th, 2009 at 12:11 pm
Gotta be Waihona street in Pearl City Industrial Park.
May 27th, 2009 at 12:26 pm
What 29 already? I forgot it's Where's Waldo, I mean Ed Wednesday.
I'll throw in Aiea Heights.
May 27th, 2009 at 12:56 pm
i dunno... but i would have guessed pearl city industrial park... "somewhere." see, and i logged on last night and could have guessed first... but, of course, every time i do that, i don't have a clue!
May 27th, 2009 at 12:58 pm
Sheez, another 1st guess winnah! Congrats hemmaz. Is that your first one? Awwwww yeah!
Haha, ok, I don't think you'll ever get a WIH in Nanakuli from me. Too far! LOL! Nah! Maybe one day...
P.S. Da back-to-back-to-back streak is still up for the takin'!
Nope, but I like their commercials.
Good thing for my hint eh hemmaz?
Ho, das a good one! But nope.
Yup Rosey, you goin look for me or wot?
Eh, east sidah! I said Wessss'siiiiide!
BTW, I saw your sis' friend Joy this weekend dr. frankiestein...
As many as you like. As long as each guess is a new comment. Haha, nah!
Ahahaha! Very observent, sleepytime. Didn't know that about SF coppers. Thanks for the 411.

May 27th, 2009 at 1:24 pm
@Syxx...bruddah Ed wouldn't go into Nanakuli not cuz it's far...remember, he went to Camp Erdman...because he too chicken fo venture out to da WESSSIIIIDDEEE!!!!! LOL...Sorry, Ed, I just had to.
If you look on the map, Pearl City is located in South Central (Oahu). LOL
May 27th, 2009 at 2:03 pm
@leerz - south central sounds so gangsta! "one two three to the four . . ."
May 27th, 2009 at 2:52 pm
Ed, you need to start making these harder! People getting 'em in the first guesses already!
@leerz: oh yeah, Nanakuli is too far...I wouldn't even go there.
May 27th, 2009 at 3:33 pm
winnaz? ...been playing this darn game from da start and finally got one. Da thing is, it was a lucky guess, a stab in da dark. I always go by the entrance on my way to H2 but haven't been in there for years. Actually when I looked at the picture again, I thought my guess was wrong cuz didn't think there was a sidewalk like dat. Huuuu, my life is complete now and can retire to da ghetto-South Central PC, a happy man.
May 27th, 2009 at 6:06 pm
Congrats to hemajang for the big win!!! Also to Syxx for the previous back-to-backer!
What da heck was WWE doing in south central oahu?!
May 27th, 2009 at 11:43 pm
@ Ed - There's a road on the back side of 24 Hour Fitness in Mililani that goes down to Waipio Valley area. That's Snake Hill, well it was when I was a kid at least.
May 28th, 2009 at 1:08 pm
ed, shucks... only thing is, i couldn't remember what it was called! would i have won if i had said "that place after sam's club on the way to waipahu, kinda by the twin towers but not "there"?"
das okay, hemajang get his first! w00t! congrats, hemajang!!
